The Deocide is the name given to a diversive action carried out by Coalition Forces in the Hailon System in 6150. Home to three human colonies and a significant military installation, Hailon could be used as a 'slingshot' for an invasion of the Republic of Sol, especially due to the presence of the local Jump Station and a prototype of a Negation Engine. All of that made the System a very important strategic target for the Swarm, and as it became clear defence is no longer possible, the Coalition decided to expand on its standard protocol, and instead of just destroying the Jump Station, decided to lure as big an enemy force into the system as possible and subsequently cause the star to go supernova.
