You read that right, Sunrisers!
After a fair amount of preparation time and organization, I've been taking the first steps to collecting a team of rational and creative thinkers. A group built to provide a place where authors with projects in mind can openly discuss and/or exchange story spoilers and important plot details without fear of plagiarism. Where creative people can give and offer advice to each other, and speculate on each other's work in a relatively private and intimate environment. Where conventional and unconventional ideas will be born, and like-minded people can gather. We aspire for it to be a group much like the famous Inklings that helped inspire legendary authors like Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.
A group where Critics can give their thorough and insightful critiques on projects not yet completed, where Pre-Readers swarm to react to updates and installments like the everyday audience, where Artists may find commission for their talents, where Editors can meet and synchronize with authors, and where the more casual Observers can participate however they see fit.

Pearl? Care to elaborate on the rules?

Ugh, fine. Can you at lease elaborate on some implications of the rules, and community features that the Group has?

Please stop calling me--

*As some of you may have picked up on when reading through the rules, there are certain things that are not required for you to become a member of our server!*

You are not required to be online once a day, or even once a month, unless you are actively working on a project with another individual. Life happens, and sometimes you just simply don't want to be online or active in a certain server. We understand, there is no pressure in immediate participation.
You are not required to restrict all sexual materials from presented projects, sometimes uncomfortable themes need to be explored. However, you will be asked to exclude any sexual material that is A) not necessary for the plot, or B) sexually graphic/explicit. We're not writing porn, we want our authors to take their craft seriously. Yes, this is censorship.
This is not a MLP:FiM-specific server, nor a fanfiction-specific server. Want advice on a parody? Have original concept you want to suggest or work on yourself? We hope to grow in a direction that fosters creativity in all genres.
You are not required to censor yourself completely in general chats. D**n, He**, Sh*t, and other such words are permitted on occasion, and dropping the f-bomb once in a blue moon is nothing unexpected. However: we would appreciate it if you reduce usage of unnecessary language to a PG level in 80% of interactions, lessening reliance on expletives to express oneself has been shown to foster greater independent thinking.
You are not discouraged from discussing heavy or uncomfortable topics in relation to your stories, but we will be asking you to refrain from talking about heavier subjects in the general chats. What is defined as a "heavier subject" is up to admin discretion and the current atmosphere of said individual chat room.
You are not required to use the "public" server channels if you are uncomfortable with them or especially cautious. You will be permitted to reach out to Available Editors, Authors and Pre-Readers via PMs, that's what they are in the server for.

*In addition to being assigned 1-3 of the 8 roles (Observer, Writer, Critic, Editor, Artist, Pre-Reader, MasterMind, and Originator) you can also earn special badges for certain areas of community participation! You will earn titles of recognition such as Advisor, Muse, Painter, Promethean, Resourceful, Scholar, Dungeon Master, Thespian, Maestro, Meme Noble, Lovable and the coveted title of TACODILE SUPREME!*

That's right! And the first 10 individuals to join- not counting the server's owner -will receive a the special title of Originator, which means you get to have input on most server-changing decisions! It will not, however, give you admin powers, or protect you from punishment if you decide to break the rules.

Now then, this server has yet to be fully defined, so I will ask you to bear with us as we hammer out the kinks and get the administration and roles in order. But we are hoping to form it over time into a community that can be trusted, and eventually refined into something productive and constructive. With the help of those who join, I hope to make this a reality.
