Okay I'm here to tell you guys that Hasbro has had a shared universe before the IDW comics and the upcoming Paramount movies.

It all starts with the Marvel comics of Rom & the MIcronauts in 1979 they were in the main universe of Marvel and they made a few impacts to the universe that are still in it to this day, then 3 years later in 1982 Marvel made the G.I. Joe comics at the time G.I. Joe have also been in the main Marvel universe as well with the fact there was a few guest Marvel superheroes in it like Iron Fist & Elektra, then in 1984 Marvel made the Transformers comics like G.I. Joe at the time it could have been seen as being in the main Marvel universe but the Transformers & G.I. Joe comics didn't leave as big of impacts as Rom & Micronauts did so they were retconned into being a different universe but Rom & the Micronauts could still exist in that different universe as well, there were 6 other Hasbro toylines that got comics that could also be in this different universe, Inhumanoids, Visionaries, Robotix, Starrors, Air Raiders, and Spider-Man & Zoids.

In 1983 Marvel and Sunbow made the G.I. Joe cartoon air on tv, thanks to the success of G.I. Joe Marvel and Sunbow went and made My Little Pony: Rescue at Midnight Castle and the Transformers cartoon which as of today are Hasbro's top sales, then in 1985 a Jem of a cartoon was made that was truly outrageous, then in 1986 the Inhumanoids cartoon was made unlike any of the past cartoons Inhumanoids was named after the bad guys of the cartoon, most of the cartoons I just talked about are in the same universe (My Little Pony might be in it too) because there was one character that appeared in all of them (but not in MLP) his name was Hector Ramirez, there was one more cartoon that was confirmed to be in this Hasbro cartoon universe and that was C.O.P.S. ( Central Organization of Police Specialists), but like I said MLP might also be in the universe as well along with any other Hasbro cartoons by Sunbow and DIC (C.O.P.S), Sunbow made a Dungeons & Dragons cartoon that could be in this Hasbro cartoon universe as well thanks to the fact the main characters are from 80's America and are teleported into the world of D&D.

I'm not going to talk to much about the IDW Hasbro Universe, but the first Transformers comic in this universe was made in 2005 and then in 2008 was the G.I. Joe comics were made, then they were made into a shared universe in 2016 along side Rom, Micronauts, Action Man, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand), & as of 2017 Visionaries has been added, at small part of the IDW Hasbro Universe is Jem & Clue.

This to people that don't understand why Hasbro is making a shared movie universe, and yes I know it could be because of Marvel, but I was just letting you know that then is a good reason for Hasbro to make one and it's not just random thing for Hasbro to make money with.

I really want a Hasbro universe to succeed. I don't know if I want it to completely replace original standalone tv series'. But I'd like to get to see a Hasbro animated universe someday.
That being said the IDW comics universe is starting to disappoint me. I just don't like the depressing direction they're taking with it, among other things. I'm gonna stick around till the Unicron event, and if they mess that up I'm done.

Yeah I agree with you on the IDW universe, that's why I hope the upcoming movie universe isn't based on the IDW Universe.

I think my main issue is that most shared universes like justice league or marvel the heroes come together and team up, in the IDW series we got revolution, and that was pretty much it, Rom still hates the cybertronians, lots of people on Earth don't trust them including members of g.i.joe, it's just where's the team up we wanted? Sigh maybe that's not what they wanted to go for, but I still think that the bonds between the different franchises should be stronger.

I still have a little bit of hope that something good will come, the Shining Armor Transformers vs Rom series was really good. I honestly enjoyed that, First Strike was pretty boring and I've already discussed my initial thoughts on Transformers vs Visionaries. But I am still excited to see what the Unicron event might do. According to seibertron.com Unicron is going to attack Rom's homeworld of Elonia for some reason forcing the space knights to ally with the Cybertronians in order to achieve victory. This sounds like a big event that could set things back on track to me it could potentially end the prejudices between the two factions. But I swear if the Transformers end up saving Elonia, and the spaceknights still see them as nothing more than mindless killing machines after everything they did for them I'm gonna call it quits, if saving your home planet doesn't sway your opinion nothing will and there's no point in even hoping for peace and unity between them anymore.

I know the writers didn't want to reboot but they might have to reboot the IDW universe to save it, if it keeps going the way it is.

I might be done with the IDW Hasbro Universe at the moment. It needs to be rebooted.

It should been rebooted to start with. That's reason why it's not working.
