5606940 Do you mean things like Worm, or are you looking for straight-up cackling Joker style evil villains? Because the libraries are full of Villain Ball style 'villain' protagonists, but actual puppy-eating villainy in the protagonist role is relatively rare.

(Worm is straight-up awesomesauce most of the time, btw, although I have some issues re-reading the Slaughterhouse Nine sections due to not really being in love with the whole Villain Sue thing. Yeah, it's the sort of story where the protagonist-villain has real, horrible villains to fight it out with, in between kicking the heroes around like they were chumps. If only some of the seriously blackhat villains didn't come with adamantine plot armor....)
