In Fluttershy Leans In, when Angel Bunny injures himself playing Parkour, Fluttershy must visit the town vet due to a lack of the right splint. When she discovers the vet office has become a zoo overrun with free-loading recovered patients because she recommended the place as a safe place to stay until ready to return to the wild, Fluttershy realizes she was projecting one her personal goals on somepony else, the veterinarian. She "leans in," determined to do what it takes to create the animal convalesce sanctuary she has always envisioned she would build. However, lacking knowledge of what it takes to build something, definite plans, and pony help that shares her vision, the process doesn't go well.

Prompts:

When Fluttershy's first helpers fail miserably, Fluttershy asks her friends to "lean in." Twilight can research sanctuaries, Applejack can organize building things, etc. But can Fluttershy be bold enough to lead her friends toward her vision?

Fluttershy realizes to help the animals she can no longer be an amateur. She leans in and attends veterinary school, but learns she is just too empathetic.

Fluttersertive visits the royal gardens in Canterlot and realizes the royal menagerie isn't kept up to her standards. When Fluttershy fixes the problems, neither princess is amused.

Extra credit (optional): The main character is not always the best point of view for a story, perhaps because we know them too well. Tell Fluttershy's story from a conflicting POV, like Angel Bunny's or one of the contractors from the second act of today's episode.

Deadline: May 12, 2017 Because of gale force winds and 20' seas (really) causing a delay posting this week's WTG prompts, the date has been extended to May 15, 2017.

Place your entries in the folder marked “Fluttershy Leans In”. Please, only one entry.

Stories must be appropriately tagged Everyone, Teen, or Mature. Remember, stories tagged Mature are not visible to all readers and will not participate in any contests or after-the-fact lists. Please also select one or more story categories (like Adventure, Slice of Life, etc.). Because I understand preserving the mystique of a story, you are welcome not to provide tags for the main characters.

Please post comments only here. Follow all FicFiction site rules of conduct, and be nice. Read the stories and vote on which you like best (other than your own). If voting becomes a thing, the top five vote-getters will be be appended to the post. Feel free to discuss the episode, too.

Telling a story from a conflicting POV could be a challenge if an animal is chosen. Angel already has some character to him but there is still the choice to basically write the bunny as a mute pony or to do something more animalistic; he may have stronger urges or fewer brain functions humans/ponies have.

Another consideration for an animal character would be if it has any friends. Ponies can go around talking to others in stories but one might have to draw up the network the animal is a part of and build them all.

Just some thoughts on this prompt with the possibility of stimulating some discussion :yay:
