it is the Empty Tomb,

it is not that He died,

it is that He rose again

and broke asunder the bonds of fear

and death.

He is risen,

risen in the sun that shines anew

after the darkness of night,

risen in the flowers

that bloom in vitality restored

after winter's death,

risen in the soul of the loser,

the beaten,

the oppressed,

pushing back

and rising in triumph.

Seek for Him not at Calvary,

He is no longer at Calvary,

He is not here, but risen.

The promise of spring

and the promise of sunrise

the promise that death too shall die

and Life shall be eternally renewed.
