TL/DR:

Disney was a product of his time. His attitude was typical for white northern men of his time. He opposed lynching and the Final Solution, but was not progressive by our standards.

Note:

The video contains the error that Song of the South takes place during slavery. It is set during Reconstruction. Uncle Remus, along with all of the other workers, is free. At 1 point in the movie, Uncle Remus considers quitting and moving to the city, but decides to keep his job instead. Disney believed that slavery was a mistake and morally wrong. Since the video contains this error, it may have other errors.
