The Empire of Odiaba is a fledgling, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, state-planned economy, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million Odiabans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Law & Order, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 67.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The struggling Odiaban economy, worth 77.2 billion Dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Cheese Exports. Average income is 15,431 Dollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Odiaba's national animal is the Eagle.
