This question has been bugging me recently. I mean yeah most jokes are spoken or are physical but they can be written down. Especially ones in TV Shows and such. Example, Robot Chicken, The Three Stooges, etc.

Also what about cultural/racial jokes? These days almost everyone tells or listens to jokes about race, culture, countries, etc. Do they count as jokes or insults? Especially when someone is telling it in a non-mean spirited manner or referring to their own race, culture, country, etc. Example, The Boondocks, South Park, Family Guy, etc.
