In the old Galactic community's laws, a species could gain prestige by the amount of species they uplifted to sapience.

Nowadays, this practice is outdated, but can still garner the favor of certain species.

the three pony factions gained respect from several races upon entering the Galactic Community, as they had already uplifted two species: the Graffex and the Kitter

Kitter

the Kitter were uplifted by the Lunar Republic-Celestine Empire alliance. An arboreal, herbivorous amphibian species, the Kitter are voiceless, communicating by waving the tendrils on their backs.

Weighing 120 pounds at the largest, the Kitter have a hive society, with a Queen laying all the eggs, the subordinate females acting as warriors, and the small males acting as workers. They are capable of using sonar in low-light environments.

They are mainly used as scouts, but make sufficient engineers.

Graffex

The Graffex were Uplifted after their discovery by Nightmare Moon (several years following her cloning, near-destruction by the Royal Sisters, and gaining her current cyborg body). She just wants complete peace, and the way of doing that is crushing all that oppose the peace. Upon discovering the Graffex, she saw an oppurtunity

The Graffex are omnivores from a forest planet, weighing about 480 pounds on average. They are egg-laying hermaphrodites, capable of self-fertilization as well as traditional methods. They walk using their four lower limbs, but can rear up on just two. They are colorblind, and have poor vision, but make up for it with superb hearing and an excellent sense of smell. their fangs are venomous, their voices are guttural, and they tend to growl.

The Graffex are mainly used as shock troops, but also help engineers carry heavy loads.
