Discord glared at the human, all of the humor suddenly fading from his eyes. “You’re going to pay for that,” he growled, and hurled a ball of purple-and-black magic at Allen. The boy quickly spun to the side, dodging the attack effortlessly.

“Okay,” I said slowly, staring at the tree in confusion, “how exactly am I supposed to get those down?”

Cadence shrugged. “Try using the sword?” she suggested.
