Good hunting, poor company, and the annoying realization that almost nopony in Canterlot understands the difference between a kelpie and a changeling – and frankly wouldn't care at the moment. Riptide is at cross currents, fed, frustrated, and sick of firearms.

Putting together the broken pieces of a persona is a hard enough task under ideal circumstances. The invasion of a psychic parasite tens of millennia outside one's own time, with the discovery that the death which undid you was the result of a careless mistake... this is decidedly not an ideal situation.
