I know this was a long long while ago but it still annoys me. Why essentailly ban it (i know a few of you have said that only problematic threads/groups get deleted but wasnt the same for me) when its only a few who were doing it?

Destroy something great because of so few!? Why?

Because it was breaking the whole website, that's why.

The threads were too big; they were overloading the server. That made the infamous 502 errors.
Ever notice that the 502's have pretty much gone away since that ban?

I know. But what im saying is it was only a few people who did that. The guys i were with stopped at around 100-150 and after a while deleted the thread.

Heh, the moderators here are busy enough just approving stories and whatnot.

Do you really think they have time to go policing the groups and making sure none of the RP's get too big?

Just face it: this is a fanfiction website... and it's not worth losing the primary reason for the website because some people also want to use it for RP's. There are many other places where RP's can be done; you can even still organize it through fimfic and just do the actual RP in a google doc or something.
