Having seen this trailer so many times lately, even when it was first released on YouTube, I knew that I absolutely wanted to express my thoughts on it.

First things first, I'd like for you guys to take a look at it yourselves:

So, wanna know what I think of it?

Surprisingly, I think this looks like something spectacular to see.

Before this trailer came out, I was admittedly finding myself excited and not-so-excited about things concerning it. I was excited about there being an animated reboot of the Scooby-Doo film series, but felt hesitant about the direction, casting choices for the human characters of the Mystery Inc. gang, and the fact that it was going to be computer-animated instead of hand-drawn animated. The latter was mainly because I felt that computer animation was becoming too overused for theatrical animated features, and that a change of pace should be done at some point.

When I saw this trailer, I found myself much more excited about this film than before.

The animation surprisingly looks to be really top-notch, especially with how the characters translated so well into the format and how appealing the overall visualization appears to be.

Hearing Frank Welker's reprising for Scooby-Doo in this feature made me feel so emotional, particularly in the moments when the character was a puppy.

I'd also like to add that seeing Shaggy and Scooby meet and become friends for the very first time as kids was something that I thought to be really heartwarming, and there were several moments in the trailer that were pretty humorous in a great way.

On the subject of the casting for the rest of the Mystery Inc gang, I will admit that it did feel weird to not the regular players not portraying them for the very first time, especially Fred being played by Zac Efron instead of Frank Welker. However, I found the voices of Fred, Velma, and Daphne to be unexpectedly fitting and amazing to hear.

The only one I can't help but feel unsure about is Will Forte's voicing of Shaggy, as it didn't sound close to that of the late Casey Kasem at all. I'm willing to give him a chance though. A part of me can't help but hope that maybe Forte could re-dub his voice into one closer to Kasem's, but that may just be my nostalgia talking.

And so, those are my thoughts.

What do you guys think?
