Here's the IMDb synopsis:

In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.

Suffice to say, I've been hyped for this movie since I first heard about it a few months ago. Not only is it directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu (who won a much deserved trio of Oscars for last years exceptional Birdman), but we've got Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception) AND Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception) both on their A Game, and a film that's lit entirely with natural light, which means it really looks beautiful and atmospheric.

Maybe DiCaprio will finally win that long deserved Oscar! And maybe this'll be ANOTHER set of Oscars for Iñárritu. Who knows.
