This up-for-grabs Alternate Universe idea is something that was inspired by the Justice League the Animated Series episode "Hereafter".

What if - instead of JUST Superman, Toyman's gadget at the start of Hereafter Part One ALSO got Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash, leaving only Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl and Green Lantern left in the fight? Specifically Flash zips in ahead JUST ahead of Superman only to get sucker-zapped by Livewire, and Superman gets blasted back by Metallo, allowing Toyman's blast to get both of them PLUS Batman and Wonder Woman.

Anyway, after the three remaining Justice Leaguers manage to defeat the five villains (after a much tougher battle), there is, of course, the service and the discussion about bolstering the membership (ESPECIALLY since the emboldened super-criminals in Metropolis, Gotham City AND Central City are wreaking havoc on those three towns). Ultimately, Supergirl, Aquaman and Black Canary end up filling three of the opened slots, but what about the fourth? Right now, it's a three-way tie between Nightwing, Green Arrow and Captain Marvel.

Which one of the three should get that fourth opened slot if any? And if not any of them, who? Or do you think the League should expand early and allow for ALL THREE of them in addition to the others mentioned? Of course, that would be entirely the choice of whoever likes the idea enough to adopt it.

Of course, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash are all transported tens of thousands of years into the future, like what happened to just Superman in the ACTUAL Hereafter. But that's beside the point.
