1. They're have good chemistry. (They enjoy music and care deeply for their friends)
2. They're obviously into one another but Twilight's royal duties takes precedence over her love life. (It would definitely make for good romance)
3. And... because many of us shippers wanna see some manner of love interest in the storyline.

2) Flash is presented as a caring and respectful character
