What if the makers of Mlp made like an alternate version of "Crystal Empire part 2" where Twilight actually becomes corrupt with Alicorn Magic thanks to Sombra's clever deception (Telling her stories of how she's going to fail her test and how that Celestia would replaces her with Trixie).

She then becomes the tyrant's apprentice and he sends her back to Ponyville to not just burn all the letters that she sent to Celestia, but to also spread darkness through out Ponyville, and if her old friends got in the way she would destroy them on sight with her new found abilities.
