So I'm writing a story that pits changelings against pegasi, and I'm wondering if their differing anatomy can be used to give them different air combat styles. One species relies on angled feathers and a small number of powerful wingstrokes. The other relies on angling the entire wing and using a high number of less powerful wingstrokes. How would these characteristics translate to flight abilities, and would it be enough to determine if pegasi or changelings gain advantages in certain types of flight? (level flight, evasive maneuvers, etc.)
