I always liked Silent Hill's approach to the titular town - psychological horror as aggressive psychotherapy. But I was thinking about "The Colt," and how much of an enigma he was. And I thought of perhaps the one thing that might get some answers out of him.

The Mind Delve spell.

One of two things would happen. Either he'd be just as disconnected with it as he is with reality, and it would destroy him. Or perhaps it'd be inescapable. Perception of it could not be altered. Your senses may be deceiving you in that world, but you sense what it wants you to sense. Nothing else. And there, with you stripped down to your mind and soul, it's more real than reality.

I have been reconnected with reality from the depths of my mind, on a very minor scale. It was not a pleasant experience. I am not sure even The Colt deserves such an experience. The pony that comes out of that place, if at all, will not be the same one that went in. And perhaps the change will not be for the better.
