I mean, what would you consider a "background pony"? Is it the normal definition? Such as any pony we see in the background should be considered a background pony? Or should we be a little more specific? Should the pony be a recurring entity, one that is constantly seen in the canvas, but never fully explored.

Also, would you consider character like Gilda and Donut Joe to be background characters? How about ponies like Vigilance and Davenport?
