So, this scene is one of the most iconic scenes in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! In a split moment, Atem loses it over the thought of Yugi being gone forever. Of course, Weevil tore up a plain old card, but he claimed it was the one with Yugi's soul and seeing him tear it in half angered him more than when Kaiba tore up his grandfather's Blue-Eyes, because he truly thought that he'd lost his best friend. But which version is better? In the original, Atem seems more unhinged, like he's actually gone insane, which fits, Berserker Soul, he's gone Berserk. Whereas in the dub, it feels like he's completely in control, and he chooses, in a very sadistic manner, to keep attacking. He even says "You'll pay dearly." while attacking him. And what makes this scene even darker, Atem can make it so he pulls the card he needs, so if Tea didn't stop him, he would continue drawing monsters until he has nothing in his deck but spells and traps. Which version do you guys like better?
