Is this a dumb idea for my book?

In A New Generation ponies Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow, Hitch Trailblazer, Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm had done the impossible, and brought magic back and returned the three tribes as a whole. Then Sunny became the first artificial Alicorn in years. Sunny thought maybe she wasn't the same as everyone else. However when the five figure out the Unity Crystals, and how they worked; an anonymous shadow Alicorn rises and will do whatever it takes to get take back what was hers'.
