You have to pay a $110 fee if you are planning to bring your pet on a Spirit Airlines flight. This amount you pay for an animal container.  You can bring up to two pets per container, but only one container per guest is allowed. You can only carry two containers per person. 

Round flight cost $220 for a pet carrier which can only include 1-2 pets under 40 pounds in the carrier with your pet.

Yes, you can add a pet to a flight after booking. If you find any issue with adding a pet after booking you can call Spirit Airline customer care for booking a container for animals. It is possible that the chargers can be an effect due to last-moment changes. For example Flights to California generally cost a $110 fee for caring for a pet carrier but if you book a pet carrier at the last moment it can cost you from $125 to $170 depending on the time and flight. 

What type of guidelines do we have to follow to carry a pet on a flight?

There are some policies and guidelines you have to follow if you are planning to carry a pet on a flight 

• You have to carry a pet health certificate if you are a USVI passenger. 
• You have to pay a  $110 fee to carry your pet with you on the flight. 
• You can only carry Pet dogs, Domestic cats Small domestic birds (except between Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands), Small pet rabbits (except between Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands)
• You can bring up to two pets per container, but only one container per guest is allowed.
• A carrier that does not exceed 18” X 14” X 9” in size and 40 pounds in weight. 
• One carrier can only carry 1 or 2 pets. 
• One carrier must have the same breed of pet. 
• Pets must not be required to pay attention during the flight.
• If you are a caring pet you can not choose the first row or emergency seat. 
• Pet and carrier both must not exceed 40 pounds (18.14 kg).
• The Container must be big enough for the pet to stand and move. 
• Pet must be at least 56 days old for safety reasons. 
• Passengers must keep pets in carriers till landing. 
• Cities in Puerto Rico or the U.S.V.I. don't allow birds in a flight
