I've started playing Mario Strikers: Charged Football again and made 2 realisations after all these years

1: as not much of a sports guy, I can tell you this is the greatest sports game I've ever and possibly will ever play. I've seen people play Punch-Out (made by Next Level Games, the same people behind Strikers, funnily enough) and it looks cool, I'll admit, but I feel like I'd just get frustrated playing it, that's a problem I have too often with games. Also, I haven't looked into buying the Switch Strikers game yet, maybe one day, but for now, this is great. I love the brutality, the battle damage on the players, etc.

2: I've been doing Megastrikes at least half-wrong this whole time. I didn't realise I was supposed to press B twice, once for the number of balls and once to try and increase the speed. Oopsies daisies!

Personally, I main Waluigi. I read in a magazine once that in what I believe was one of the Fifa games, rather than rushing to throw away all your money in exchange for superstars for your team and thus not being able to afford any other halfway decent players, you should focus on buying fast players. Good thing that came to mind.

As for my team in the striker cup, I went with Dry Bones (as a defensive ally on my defensive team, he ironically has potentially the best and easiest to use skillshot IMO, and I'm pretty sure he has the most goals under his belt out of the whole team, with only Waluigi potentially competing thanks to the Megastrike), Monty Mole (it's so satisfying when he manages to send both the ball AND Kritter into the goal!) and Boo (I like to imagine her as the most bouncy and energetic member of the team- her speed and ability to pass through everyone make her brilliant for getting the ball on the other side, and like the rest of the team, she's scored some brilliant goals)

Long story short, this game is great.
