Not Sure... · 1:40am Dec 11th, 2012
Hey there, Roxxi's on the scene once again.
I've been getting the craving to do a story where the main characters are some of my fans and I'd love to have them actually involved in it, like kinds how the players in a D&D game are the main focus of the story they're running, they influence it directlym but it's sstill overall a story.
The problem is, I have no idea on how to do this... I mean, it might not be feasible the way I imagine it, maybe it is. I have no clue. There's also the possibility that this story craving will pass and I'll end up making a story of a completely different kind.
I dunno, just something that was kicking around in my thoughts.
Utterly Confused,
Roxxi
(P.S. Is everypony else loving the new backgrounds on the top of the page, or is it just me? A Megas XLR themed one is up right now while I'm typing, loved that show.)
596751 Oh come on, this thing wasn't even up for 30 seconds and YOU'RE the first comment?!
Don't think about the possibiliies of creating a story. You are an author and the awesomeness that lies in this fact is granting powers beyond imagination. So if you have an idea, it is impossible to not be able to write it, because you are gifted with the ability to write beyond your imagination! And the only being I can imagine who can out-imagination its own imagination is Pinkie Pie! Are you Pinkie Pie? I don't think so.
Also, making it work only depends on the characters, don't blow your head with the question if what they're doing is good and right or not. When you develope a real character into your characters (haha) the problems, twists and plots will nearly come on their own.
Since you are talking about D&D, I would recommend to throw a look into 'Ponies playing D&D', if that's not the reason for your precise example.
So yeah. Do it and screw it. After you done it, you know at least wether it had worked or not. Crushing plans before realizing them is really only useful in politics.
Write it, yaay!
599649 I did read "Ponies Play D&D" but that's not why I mentioned it, I mentioned it because I'm currently playing D&D with a lovely group of friends. But anyways, I alwys wanted to get involved in politics, crushing that plan would be perfect training for that...
Kidding, I hate politics.
Hmmmmm... Maybe, I'll consider it, but I aven't had any random train-wrecks of inspiration to inspire me to write. I love train-wreck inspiration. You could be sitting there playing D&D with all of your friends, when WHAMO! Inspiration slams full force into your skull and you jump up to celebrate! Which knocks over the table and gets everyone pissed at you.
Seriously though, I have to get hit by my Inspirational Train first.
Did I mention I love your comments? So helpful, and longer than 10 words, and stuff.
