Morbius (pre-reshoots) · 1:48am Apr 3rd, 2022

For those who want to know what happens in the new Morbius movie, I did some digging around and found the original script for the film before it was reshot. Hope you enjoy what I found:
The movie starts with Morbius recapping his life about how he was bullied by some of the other kids due to his rare disease when he was still a kid until another kid stands up for him. He introduces himself as Loxias Crown and the two become fast friends, eventually coming to study together under Dr. Emil Nikos. Jump to the present day, both Morbius and Crown have become famous due to their work in rare and incurable diseases, with Morbius having created different kinds of medicine to stall the diseases. His fiancee Martine Bancroft expresses concern at his obsession of permanently ridding himself of his disease, especially when Morbius reveals that he has found of a long-forgotten ritual that is said to heal all kinds of ailments, including incurable ones. He hypothesizes that combining it with his research on bats could lead to a medical breakthrough and asks for funding by the many institutions, only to be turned down due to similar concerns. Crown gives Morbius the funding to go through with his experiment and Morbius, accompanied by Martine, board a vessel that takes them to the Amazon, where they find an ancient temple now occupied by countless bats. Morbius injects himself with a half-finished serum before he starts the ritual, which requires one to spill their blood and allow the spirit of a bat god to merge a piece of its soul with that person. After the ritual is finished, Morbius is able to move independently.

Later that night, as a side effect to the ritual, Morbius transforms into a vampiric superhuman. However, a team of mercenaries hired by an unknown party are revealed to have stowed away and kill the crew onboard before they attempt to kill Morbius under the employer's orders, only to end up killed themselves by Morbius. When he awakens, Morbius finds out two months have passed and is taken in by FBI agents Simon Stroud and Al Rodriguez for questioning. Unable to recall what had happened on the ship, Morbius is released from custody. As he discovers his newfound abilities like superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, echolocation, flight, and shapeshifting, he soon realizes that he needs a constant supply of fresh blood to survive. He also finds out that Martine suffered a concussion during his first transformation and is still recovering, but is well enough to move around. As a result of his new bloodlust, he is forced to kill several people, leading him to being chased by Stroud and Rodriguez. Morbius asks Crown to help hide him and shows his new powers. It's here that Crown reveals he was the one who sent the mercenaries to kill him, much to Morbius's shock. Crown further reveals as Morbius became famous for his medical practices, Crown got jealous of his friend's more successful career. That is the reason why he gave Morbius the funding in the first place; to see if he would fail and ruin his reputation. But when Morbius turned into a living vampire, Crown decided to switch plans and intends to utilize the ritual to amass an army of vampires and conquer the world, claiming that this is the new path for humanity. He offers Morbius to join him before he leaves, but not before taking a sample of Morbius's blood. Feeling despondent from the betrayal, Morbius surrenders himself to the authorities.

In prison, Morbius meets with Adrian Toomes aka Vulture (who is an alternate variant of the one from Earth-199999), who shows him a newspaper article about other individuals like Black Cat, Chameleon, and Rhino, and reveals that they were seen as villains until some people got the courage to see their side of the story and why they are who they are now. Toomes is also revealed to be one of such people as he advises to Morbius that some people aren't capable of looking at the two sides of the story, but that doesn't mean the person shouldn't try. Hearing these words helps Morbius out of his funk and is bailed out by a sympathetic Stroud and Rodriguez. Before Morbius leaves, Toomes says they should stay in touch, hinting at a possible team-up.

Knowing that he cannot allow anyone else to suffer the same fate as he has, Morbius reunites with Nikos and Martine to develop a cure and find a way to reverse the ritual before they confront Crown in an abandoned warehouse. He offers Morbius one last chance to join him in the new world order, but Morbius refuses. Furious, Crown performs the ritual on himself, transforming into a vampire-like being as well, renaming himself Hunger in the process. A massive fight between the two living vampires begins and the two are evenly matched. Hunger eventually gains the upperhand and prepares to kill Morbius when Stroud and Rodriguez arrive with backup, distracting Hunger long enough for Morbius to hold him down while Martine injects the cure into him and Nikos reverses the ritual, turning Crown back into a human.

With Crown arrested and his plans foiled, Morbius bids a tearful goodbye to all of his friends and fiancee before fleeing into the night. Unbeknownst to him, the Spider-Man of the Sony's Spider-Man Universe (who is played by Asa Butterfield) is watching from atop Oscorp Tower and he quips that, "And here I thought things couldn't have gotten more strange. First that 'Venom' guy, now a living vampire? What has my world come to?" before swinging after him.

The mid-credits scene has Spider-Man land in an alleyway, wondering what to do about the appearance of Morbius when his Spider-Senses suddenly start going haywire. A portal opens right behind him and he turns around to see none other than Miles Morales of Earth-TRN700, the Spider-Gang, and Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 walk through, asking for his help. This sets up for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Part 1.

The post-credits scene shows Morbius in an inn when suddenly Eddie Brock arrives and the two get talking, both of them sensing something off about the other. When Eddie becomes Venom and Morbius turns into his vampire form, both of them stare at each other before both exclaim at the same time, "What. The. FUCK!?", ending the movie.
