The key to effective leadership is to understand your own character. You can do this by developing your authentic leadership style and living a life that is aligned with your values. Is your self-awareness high? Do you know how other people perceive you? Understand your own limitations, and work towards developing them? Using these strategies will help you become more self-aware and discover your true self.

Take a look inside yourself:

  • How do you excel at what you do?
  • How do you like to spend your free time?
  • How do you not like to spend your time?
  • Are you repeating something because it works, or is it not working?
  • What is your best description of yourself?
  • Why do you stand for what you do?

How do you plan to develop your business?
Take a step outside yourself:

  • Take a look at your client list - how are they?
  • Are you a member of any groups or organizations?
  • How would you describe your daily routine?
  • What have you accomplished in the last three years?
  • Do you have a team?

Find out from others:

  • What is the pattern of my life, if you could see it?
  • What would you change about me if you could?
  • Describe who I am and my brand

All of the research above relies on honesty and clarity. You need to be honest with yourself and others need to trust that you will accept their information in the spirit in which it is intended - answering the questions you are asking to develop your self-awareness and implement the steps to become the leader you want to be.
At the end of your research, you might want to look for areas where opposites or similarities emerge. You can then develop a plan for personal development. The goal sheet of a personal development plan can be designed with clear action points that will help you develop the skills you desire. You will achieve your goals by reviewing this plan quarterly to note your progress and make adjustments.
You should take action when you discover what you are great at so that you can leverage those strengths to build your leadership capacity. A difficult, but valuable exercise. Is it time for you to step into your authentic self and become the leader you know you can be?
Self-awareness exercises make it easy to increase self-confidence, and they can make a big difference in how wonderful your life is. Being aware of who you really are, as opposed to what you think you are, makes the biggest difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem. That's how insecurities become a source of peace. And isn't peace of mind one of the unconscious desires of humans? The majority of people I know would welcome some peace.
In order to get the most out of life and enjoy it in the way you want, you can train your thinking which can be a very useful way of increasing in all the areas discussed above as well as emotional intelligence, which many perceive as foundational to all the others. Being able to control your thoughts is fundamental to pretty much everything you do.
How we perceive our health and how much money we have in our bank accounts are both influenced by the way we think. Our relationship's course is also determined by the way we use our thinking. We can improve awareness and/or self-confidence by using our thinking instead of letting it use us. The way we think determines the way we feel, and how we feel determines how and what we perceive ourselves to be. We will be successful if we are able to control our thoughts and feelings.
