Greetings, everyone! This is Mr. J back with more The Owl House content! I will be reviewing the twelfth episode of the series entitled: “Adventures in the Elements”. In my opinion, this was yet another great episode that brings back not only Amity but also Edric and Emira. As I said before, those two needed some character growth in order for me to like them since they have little personality. Thankfully in this episode, there are bits and pieces where they somewhat developed some distinctive traits of character that separates them both. And of course, this is where we see Edric develop his taste for snow. Haha, and boy did the fandom take instant note of that.

Back to this episode, Luz is excited to begin her studies at Hexside alongside Amity, Gus, and Willow. However, in order for her to precede, she must master her exam that requires her to know two spells. If she fails, she will be forced to take baby classes. Dreading that outcome, she begs Eda to teach her another spell since she only knows one. For the sake of her pride (not wanting Luz to take baby classes), Eda agrees to teach her a new spell albeit in a different environment.

What I particularly enjoyed about this episode is the value of patience. Because Luz was impatient in learning of what the island had to instruct her about the new spell, she takes Amity’s wand in an attempt to learn a new spell behind both her and Eda’s backs which ultimately made things worse for them. That goes to show that no matter how ridiculous or lengthy the process is, by simply being patient can things work out smoothly with great results.

Once again, the humor and character development was top-notch. I especially enjoyed the sibling banter between Amity, Emira, and Edric. So the more Amity’s older siblings get more character growth and develop more interesting traits, the more I will like them.

Therefore, this episode gets a B+! This season just gets better and better, am I right?

Peace!
