Greetings, everyone! This is Mr. J back with more The Owl House content! This evening, I will be reviewing the eleventh episode of the series entitled: “Sense and Insensitivity”. This is definitely one of the best Luz and King episodes of the series for me personally because it solely focused on their dynamic, their conflict, and their resolution in a fleshed-out way. In this episode, we see our main characters enter a book fair that intrigues Luz and inspires her to try out a fan fiction story with King together. While Eda goes on her own adventure with Lilith, Luz tries to make her story interesting by adding romantic tension between her self-insert characters whereas King wants to include violence and bloodshed.

This episode shows us that all interesting ideas are valuable as long as two parties work together and communicate properly. Plus, we all have thoughts and feelings that should be respected and considered always especially when they involve a collaborative effort on a project. It was nice to see King being mature towards the end there and apologizing to Luz for how he behaved. Even kings aren’t flawless, y’know! Being humble and understanding is what makes them kings!

I also enjoyed the sibling dynamic between Eda and Lilith and how they played off each other in this episode. We see how much the latter cares for her sister and wants her to be whole from the curse. Later in this season, we will see more of her character being developed more and find out just how “good” of a sister she really is.

Great voice acting, great moral about insensitivity and being sensible of someone else, and loved the humorous scenes throughout this episode.

One more thing: Andre Sogliuzzo is an underrated voice actor, and his voice as Piniet was both impressive and intimidating. Every time I watch a minor character from whatever series and discover they were voiced by this guy, I get surprised! That man knows how to voice act and distinguishes his voice to the extent that none of us could recognize him. Again, he is one of the most underrated voice performers ever.

Thus, I give this episode an A-! Great episode and highly recommendable!

Peace!
