A lot of different backgrounds.

My OC Purple Artist has been my OC since I created him back in 2016 in Government Class (hated that class) but his design has been different and his background changed over the course of a couple of years.

His different backgrounds

Ver 1. Purple was an orphan who was taken in by a mare royal guard who acted like a mother figure to him because she was and she loved him very much as her own son and with his magic abilities is how he met Twilight Sparkle but after they reached adulthood they had a secret relationship but some time after Twilight became Princess and got her wings he proposed marriage to her.

Ver 2. Purple was the result of teenage pregnancy but the mare who gave birth to him wanted to keep him but her parents put him up for adoption and was adopted by a lesbian artistic couple because they thought his eyes were cute. They were there for him 24/7 when he needed them. His other adopted mother pestered him to get a marefriend so they can get some grand foals but he made them proud of being an artist himself but was also a royal guard but after eleven months after he left home to be a royal guard to protect Equestria (he wasn't hyper lethal or like Bravo or 2.0 also he wasn't like Charlie or 3.0) he paid his adoptive parents a visit so they could meet his marefriend who's a royal guard like him and their granddaughter.

Ver 3. Purple was born to a loving couple but the town he was born in despised interspecies romance and he was hated upon because his mother was a unicorn and father a pegasus (before I changed it to the other way around) and had a rough childhood of other colts and fillies picking on him and not even his extended family told him he would be better off dead. He couldn't get a proper education like everypony else and couldn't go to the clinic for a normal checkup like a normal pony. Over years of verbal, mental, and physical abuse by other ponies in the town he ran to the river to cry his eyes out but when he turned eighteen he joined the Equestrian special forces where his skills were and are remarkable but after doing a year deployment doing unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, direct action, counter-insurgency, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, information operations, security force assistance, counterproliferation of WMD, hostage rescue, and high-value target capture/eliminate. He was distant from his fellow Spec Ops ponies for being closed off from others. After his deployment, he was recruited into the Royal Guard for "off-key" operations overprotection but he didn't think about settling down and father a foal or several until one day that changed his life.

Ver 4. Purple was born to a royal guard unicorn stallion and a business alicorn mare but Purple wasn't the center of their world because his mom was usually away for weeks sometimes months at a time and his father was away for a month and be home for a month. Even though his mom was always busy at work she would send Purple postcards and letters in the mail also birthday and Heartwarming cards in the mail. Purple grew distant from his parents for how they were always busy and they couldn't understand why he always got into trouble with other ponies and with authority but one time when Purple was arrested for vandalism due to his father is a respected royal guard the judge gave him a slap on the wrist with a community service fine of 94 hours (four days) but next time he wouldn't be so lucky and would either end up in jail for a minor crime or take route b which was four years of military service but his parents yelled at him why he kept getting into trouble and he told them that they were hardly there for him where his father is usually busy working or too busy relaxing and mom for 5 and a half months of a year she's in different cities and for the rest of the year in Canterlot but busy with her work. When they comforted him they realized how their actions and careers put the social and metalness of their son down under where that's why he kept getting into fights and troubles but when they wanted to spend time with Purple he would walk away or reject them from spending time from them because he wasn't used of spending time with ponies and they started to feel how he felt.

Ver 5. Purple was the bastard child of a pegasus and unicorn couple but was abandoned when the husband started to blame his wife for having an affair because Purple is well his color is in his name. He was adopted by a courier mare where she was busy traveling from town to town, city to city. She always brought Purple with her when there was no school but when he had gone to school in the town he was raised in a mare guard named "Sunny" she would watch him as if he was her own child and she taught him how to use firearms while his courier mother taught him how to read maps and how to barter with other ponies. He also had trouble fitting in because he usually kept busy reading books or doing anything that was artistic or academic. When he turned fifteen his courier mother and guard mother decided to teach him where foals come from even though they were friends they both had sex with him to teach him where foals come from. In the small town, he was raised in well the foal takes the job of whatever gender they are and follow in their parent's footsteps. Purple didn't know who his biological father was but he couldn't hold down a career he liked so he went to the town's general store and became a courier like his adoptive mother but carried a pocket pistol on him to keep the guard mare who also raised him to make her happy. He didn't make the same mistake as his biological parents but when he got married he helped when he could but he considers the courier mare and the guard mare to be both of his mothers.

Ver 6. Purple was raised by a hardworking mare where she was on her break and she was highly stressed from working in fast food and another pony wanted to help her destress by having unprotected sex and when she discovered she was pregnant she couldn't do the hard work of being a single mother and having a part-time career but she decided to keep the foal because she didn't believe in abortions. Her parents kicked her out of the house calling her a "slut" so she had to work hard for more money and moved into a small one-bedroom apartment with low-end amenities. Purple's earth pony mother couldn't believe that she had birthed an alicorn but her hooves were overwhelmed with work, raising a foal, and paying off her student loan. She did her best to raise Purple but after she got a full-time job her hooves were still tied but she hardly had any money because of paying bills, groceries, and student lones. She was there for Purple and she took great care of him but he disliked growing up in poverty and was picked on for always having homemade lunches instead of buying hot lunches that school made. Purple couldn't have a marefriend for long because of him being poor and they would rather date somepony that has money. When Purple turned fourteen he got a part-time job at the grocery store earning eighty bits a week but he gave the money to his mom to help her. When Purple turned eighteen he wanted to be a police detective but his mother couldn't pay for him to be one so she paid him to become a patrol officer at first. When he finally got a marefriend she asked him why he still lived with his mother only for him to tell her that she needs his help to pay off her student loans. What brought a tear to her eye is that Purple would spend his entire paycheck per week to help her pay off her debt. Purple and his mother was happy even though being poor and she made 444 bits a day for five days a week half of it went to pay bills and debt and the other half was for groceries. Purple and his marefriend moved out of his mother's apartment and gotten one next door and she was happy to learn that her son would be having some foals but learned that her daughter-in-law was a dancer and assumed she was a stripper until Purple told her that it made his career to be a detective for busting a mafia family open and he told her about him and she is owned in his debt not adding sweet-talking him.

Ver 7. Purple was born to a hard-working mare who was poor and he doesn't know who his father is. Purple was always picked on for being poor and always got mad when ponies got under his skin about it. When Purple got a part-time job he would give it to his mother so she would have a little extra in her pocket. Purple then got a job as a freelance artist and the pay was very good and high. He shocked his mother when he bought her a house and she couldn't understand how to thank him but Purple is also the owner of his own business and got a fiancee' and she's a corporate lawyer who works in Purple's business and well one Heartswarming party ended up Purple accidentally knocking her up but unlike his father, he's going to be there for her and foal.

Ver 8. Purple is the Prince of Equestria where his mother is a Royal Guard and his father was an Equestrian Spec Ops soldier but Princess Celestia raised him as her own. He and Blueblood don't get along. Purple isn't a Canterlot pony and travels around Equestria and living in places owned by Royalty but he's also a detective as well. He later helps a dancer break free from her slavery contract and they ended up getting married and having some foals.

Ver 9. Purple is a police officer but the problem is that his mother is a don of a mafia and his father turned on him saying he turned his back on the family to be a "pig" and Purple has to look around and turn his head around to see if anypony is following him. His mother gave him some money to buy a place but his father took the money back saying that he doesn't deserve it and that he's dead to him. When he started to date a police mare his father had her killed in a false alarm and had a gas leak kill her when a match was thrown into an abandoned building. Purple against his boss orders switched out of his patrol uniform and went into plainclothes and fell from a good cop into a bad cop to avenge his marefriend's death and instead of turning in evidence he would either keep or sell it but tore apart his parent's operation to make them suffer. His father kept sending more and more mafia ponies to kill him but Purple would walk from the hits after killing them all. When Purple finally avenged his marefriend's death he goes back to his suite apartment and looked down at his police badge thinking about what he did where he ruined his own reputation in the dept and didn't honor his deceased marefriend by going rouge and being a dirty cop because his boss froze his pay and had to rely on the money from people on the streets who gave him a butt-ton of money for what he sold them.

Ver 10. Purple is born to a lovely pegasus mare and a nice unicorn stallion but has a mean brother and a nice sister. His parents died three days after he was born where he and his brother and sister were adopted by a Canterlot couple who couldn't conceive a foal. He had a neutral childhood of a rude brother but loving and caring adoptive parents. Purple loves a lot of ponies and just wants to be loved himself but nopony he wants to love and be in a relationship with doesn't want to love him back and just wants his money or just use him. Purple just wants to find a mare to be with and love her and she loves him but that usually backfires and the mare doesn't want to be friends with him anymore and doesn't want to date him. He's a sweet and kind stallion who just wants to be with a mare and have a couple of foals if the mare would want foals even though he isn't selfish.

Version 10 is the current one I use. I'm thinking about making fanfics for the other nine backgrounds I had for him at once.

Alpha- Freeland artist, Prince of Equestria, married to Princess Twilight Sparkle (2016-2017)
Bravo- Freelance artist, & nomad. (Feb 2017- March 2017)
Charlie- Freelance artist, hyper lethal Royal Guard who does "behind the scene jobs that nopony else would do), anti-romantic, had commitment issues and disliked foals (until one day). (March 2017- July 2017)
Delta- Freelance artist, G.I, Volunteer firefighter, police officer, a bookworm, handy, athletic, brave, disciplined, light sleeper, friendly, shy (around mares he likes), irresistible, hopeless romantic, family-oriented, angler (fishing), adventurous, love the outdoors, workaholic, and pizza appreciator. (He loves pizza and lasagna).
Delta is the current one that I use since 2017. His 0.1 version which was only in my mind was that he was going to be the type of pony who's a polygamist and had three wives but quickly scrapped that.
