I just wanted to take the time to wish those who celebrate it a Happy Día de los muertos. A beautiful holiday where we take the time to remember our deceased loved ones. Because as the saying goes, "Los muertos nunca mueren hasta que los olvídas" (The dead never die until you forget them).
I unfortunately had to work today but luckily my dad is at home today to welcome in our family.
As you can see the Altar me and my family made isn't very big, we're gonna add more to it today though. You gotta make do when you live in a apartment.
I thought I'd also share a song my family plays often during these days in celebration. I know it looks more like they're celebrating Halloween but this is how they celebrate Día de los muertos where my dad is from, in his home state of Oaxaca.
