Well, I'm in a bad mood · 3:23pm Oct 15th, 2021

Two of my favourite baddies were removed from the Complete Monster trope on TvTropes.

Yeah, I know, it's been a while since I made a blog post but I wanted to get it off my chest and I thought this would be too small a thing to post in the Anti-Depression ponies group. Anyway, while looking through the clean-up pages for the Complete Monster trope, there was discussion to remove Norman Osborn (AKA the Green Goblin) because, while he's no father of the year, he is consistently shown to care for his son and the only time his love for Harry wasn't consistent was during the Dark Reign storyline (which, along with Thunderbolts, I have been reading recently). So, with great reluctance, I threw in a cut vote too. You can see the whole discussion here:

As painful as it was to cut Norman, especially since he was my favorite Spider-Man villain, I knew it would happen eventually. Whether it would be because his insanity might have impaired his moral agency or because, as far as I know, there was nothing to suggest he stopped caring about his dead wife.

But Derek Powers/Blight? Now that one really hurt:

For context, he's the bastard responsible for the death of Terry McGuiness' father. Cliche, I know but I was going when I watched Batman Beyond so that moment alone made me hate him. So when a comic continuation have him a redeeming quality out of butt-fuck nowhere, you can imagine how pissed off I was.

P.S: I did say baddies (plural) despite saying I hated Blight but Norman's done worse and you gotta love a villain that is despicable enough that you want them dead ASAP.

P.P.S: One reason I like Norman is because he's bipolar like me. Unlike me, however, he's a sadistic sociopath.
