Catchy lineup, amigo.

Ooh Great list! I´m going to comment my thoughts

1- I´ve loved this song since I was a kind. By the way, I don´t know if you read it, but I commented on your Lion King review and I put a video with the version of Be Prepared I grew up with. Don´t know if you watched it, but if you did, I´d love to hear your thoughts

2-Disney´s most realistic villain song. See, that´s the special thing about Frollo. He´s no evil wizard or someone who seeks power, he already has it. He just wants to exterminate a group of people and lusts after a woman of that group, which makes him conflicted, as it contradicts his image of perfect man he believes he is. Throughout history, there have been many powerful men like him and there still are. Apart from being contradictory, I also love how Hellfire and Heaven´s Light play with the Madonna-whore complex (the belief women are either saints or temptresses). None of the two are healthy, as there is a power imbalance in both. That´s why Esmeralda and Phoebus work, as he sees her as a human being (Man, I got phylosophical here :twilightblush:. This movie gives you lots of food for thought, that´s why I love it).

3- Super catchy song. I love how it reflects Spinel´s playfulness and shows how badly Rose Quartz´s actions affected her mental health.

4- I never watched this movie (don´t know why, it was always in the kids movie section of the library and I was never interested by it, plus I ddin´t have it) but this song SLAYS. Ironic they made Rasputin the villain, since he and the Romanov family were super close, but that man was super super messed up (he practically took advantage of them, had an affair with the tsarina and inappropiate encounters with the tsar´s daughters :applejackconfused:) so it´s cool. The song kinda fits Grogar regarding Celestia and Luna, doesn´t it? :raritywink:

5- Another film I never watched and never heard the song.

6- Yet another film I never watched :rainbowlaugh: but I know what happens in this one. I think we can all agree that the animation is pretty bad but the music is spot on!

7- This movie is hilarious :rainbowlaugh:. The villain´s song is great but I prefer Jafar´s reprise, even though, it´s too short.

8- They didn´t have to go badass with the music, but here we are :rainbowlaugh:. Powerful and relatable too :fluttercry:.

9- Oh I love this movie! This scene was one of my favourites. I like how it looks like the Egyptian gods are the best because of the spectacle the priests are doing, when it´s actually the opposite. Shows you that appearances aren´t what they seem :raritywink:.

10- Many people don´t like this movie, but I actually pretty liked it when I watched it on theaters. This song was one of the reasons why.

Apart from Be Prepared and Hellfire, my favourite villain songs are Oogie Boogie´s song, I need a hero, Playing with the big boys, In the dark of the night, This day aria and a better way to be bad.

There are my thoughts .

No offense, but I’m not into songs that are dubbed into Spanish since I am not entirely familiar with the language. Hope you understand. :twilightsheepish:
