Some explanation · 7:39pm Dec 4th, 2012
Sorry about poofing. I feel I owe you all some explanation of where things stand, though.
Basically, the school that I'm going to got REALLY intense. Part of that is my own fault; last quarter I failed an incredibly easy class due to my own arrogance, and so this quarter I'm taking 120% of a normal courseload to make up for it- that puts me at doing 50+ hours of schoolwork a week if I want to pass. That's where I've been for the last few months.
Next quarter is coming up soon though, and from what I know of it I'm going to be having a much lighter set of classes. It's still 40 hours a week of work, but compared to this quarter that's a cakewalk. Will I have time to write? Fingers crossed, but until it starts up and I get a feel for it, I'm not sure.
On the bright side, I've only got the one more quarter ahead of me, then I'm done school! That means that in about four more months, I'll be able to properly get back to writing.
On that note, I'm going to formalize what most of you probably realized some time ago, and put My Little Black Ops on hiatus for the time being.
I actually re-read it recently, and I can't help but feel that I could really make some major improvements on it. Problem is, I don't have any pre-readers or proof-editors. If anyone is interested, please let me know! I can only catch so many of my mistakes by myself, and having someone else's input as far as structure and pacing goes could really help. I think it's likely that I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point to simply rework the pacing in some parts, the story will remain the same but it'll just be less rushed at some points.
Anyway, so that's that. Sorry to keep all of you waiting with no idea on the wait times!
