After readjusting the machine onto the counter, Revenant took a step back. His face conveyed uncertainty, and a little nervousness, about it. The machine supposedly was supposed to turn on when a spirit comes into contact with it, but so far, it had been fruitless.
Still, you couldn’t be too careful when dealing a supposedly haunted place.
“Uh...if a spirit is here, turn the light on?” he asked, praying that it wouldn’t nothing would answer.
Nothing did.
June rolled her eyes, sighing at her brother. “I don’t think you are doing it right.”
“What do you want me to do?”
Revenant felt a hoof push him out of the way, and he watched the green changeling trotted closer to the device, sitting right next to it.
“You’re insane,” he commented, pressing closer to the door.
June stared the device down with magenta eyes, before whispering, “If you don’t like us, turn on the light.”
The light flickered immediately, brightly lighting the dark room.
This sent Revenant screaming frenzy while his sister gazed with awe at the little machine.
“Holy shit, that actually worked.”
My first immediate thought is to cuss out the spirit like an orphaned sailor.
Perhaps I have played too much Phasmophobia...
