Figuring myself out. · 5:06am Oct 7th, 2020
So this past week I've been trying my hardest to understand my biggest problems as a fic writer. I've learned a few things.
1. My grammar kinda sucks. Although I don't think that matters that much. Wait! What I mean is that nobody (on this site at least) really cares that much about grammer as long as it's extremely readable and there's not too many mistakes back to back to back. Know what I mean? Lol
2. I use the word 'was' too much. For example: Daybreaker was way too tired for this shit. Now that may not seem that bad, but when I check how many times I use the word 'was' in any story it's kinda embarrassing. Honestly this problem isn't just related to only 'was' it relates to any words I use too much in any story. This is my biggest weakness honestly and the hardest to break.
3. My dialog (or is it dialogue?) could use a little bit of work. I think my problem two fold here. What is mean is making Fluttershy (for example) sound more believable in normal conversation. The other obvious part of this problem is the sexy part lol. I have to fix up making these characters sound more sexy in certain sexual situations. To be fair to myself I don't think it's that big of a problem, but I want to mention it anyway.
4. My title game is Weak. Like, it pisses me off that I haven't gotten better at this yet. I'm adding my description game to this to. That could be worked on.
I'm pretty sure there's other things I could mention, but for now at least those are the biggest ones I can think of. Obviously I'm pretty sure there's things you guys can tell me in the comments and I'll be happy to hear them to. However, for now I must get back to writing! I need to release something tomorrow! Bye bye my dear readers❤️
It will get better as you go
