    A New Beginning.

You know what? I've been on this website for almost a year or so, and I think it's time I actually take time to write something... This website was practically on my bookmarks tab collecting dust. Well not anymore! I'm finally going to start writing something! Even if I have to force myself to write, I'll do whatever it takes.

    About My Work

Hey. It's me again. I haven't exactly posted in... Oh, over three months ago. Because another wave of depression struck. But now, I seem to be in a better mood lately. Especially since I now started working on something! For real this time! I don't want to spoil too much right now, but I guarantee, that this will be one of the best stories I've written so far (I wrote other stuff before I knew

    To Know a Cookie...

Oh, hey! You finally found me! So, it's my first time on FimFiction, and I'm still learning the in's and out's to this site. Some of you might already know me from my very own Discord server, but for those who don't, let me share how I got into the fandom... This is gonna be a long story, so grab some popcorn, and a soda perhaps. Maybe even play a bit of music while you read this. I don't know.

To Know a Cookie... · 7:05am Sep 21st, 2020

Anyways, STORY TIME!

It was Monday, July 9th, 2012. I was a young boy at the age of nine and a half years old, and my favorite summer camp had just opened back up. (I've been going to this summer camp for three years at this point.) I was really looking forward to going back, and seeing all of my favorite counselors again, and catching up with how they're winters have been... This camp was special for lots of reasons. One of which being that this was the first summer camp I've been to, but that's not what brought me there. This place had everything I was looking for in a summer camp; Arts & Crafts, Pool, BB & Archery (my favorite, and I made it look easy), Games (physical games such as kickball), Scoutcraft (learn camping utilities such as tying knots, and other life hacks for survival, to which I contributed to teaching another counselor about a life hack, and ended up using it for over five years before he retired), and some other activities I couldn't even begin to describe without shedding a tear. (I miss this summer camp, and I want to go back as a counselor.)

I met a counselor, by the name of Hannah. It just so happened that me and her got assigned to the same 'den' (group of campers). During lunchtime, everyone sits underneath a pavilion, and socialize with each other. And when I wanted to know a bit more about Hannah, the first thing I wanted to discuss was about what childhood shows we had. And, as I expected, she mentioned 'My Little Pony'. I didn't know anything about it at the time, so I wanted to know more about that... As you can see, this lead to a great life for me, although it did take seven years for it to seem like that. She mentioned the latest generation of this show, "Friendship is Magic", and I actually wanted to give it a chance to watch it.

When I came back home, I got my iPhone 4S and went on Netflix to check if it was on there. Sure enough, there it was... I then realized what I might be in for. So I locked the door in my room, plugged my headphones in, and clicked 'Play'. Three days later, I decided to bring my phone with me that day, and... By now, I had classified the relationship with me and Hannah as 'friends', at best. But today, it seemed to be the only day I envy out of the entirety of me being at that summer camp... During Lunch, I brought my phone out, because I wanted to keep watching the show. It was... almost like an addiction. About 10 minutes into watching a new episode, I happen to notice a silhouette of a person standing behind me, as the sun shined at the perfect angle for me to see it. It was a counselor, by the name of Dylan. "Hey, everyone! Come check this out! [NAME WITHELD] is watching My Little Pony!" he said, as my chest sank to the floor, making me want to collapse. The laughter that followed afterward... This was going to help shape me for the real world... Another thing to mention about this camp is that they use the buddy system. You can't go to a far area in the camp unless you take a buddy to go with you. I was in such rage, sadness, anxiety, and worthlessness, that I didn't even care about the buddy system, and I walked straight to the administrators office to report this incident. The office was only a minute away, so I really wouldn't have cared too much anyways.

When I reported the incident to the admin, she grabbed an air horn (not for me), brought me in her golf cart, drove us back down there, told me to cover my ears, and blasted it at everyone. I have never seen her yell louder in my entire life. "Does somebody want to tell me what happened here?! If he has to explain this to me, there's going to be a problem!" After about 30 seconds of everyone looking at each other, mixed with the ambience of some birds, and the crying of a nine and a half year old child who was mocked ruthlessly for being a brony, she finally asked me to point out who started the issue. I pointed to Dylan, and I simply said, "It was him!" She got up to his face, and started going off at him, but was now speaking loudly. "If something like this happens again, Dylan, you are fired! Do I make myself clear?" She simply nodded, and I internally celebrated, while I felt worthless on the outside.

The next day, was very interesting... During lunch (again, keeping with the majority of the theme), Hannah called me over, and told me to bring my backpack. As I wasn't looking, she put something in my backpack, and I went to see what it is... It was a plushie of Applejack... (And yes, I still have it) She then offered to give me a hug, to which I accepted it, and Dylan strikes again by saying the oldest insult in the book. "[NAME WITHELD] and Hannah, sitting in a tree!" Before he could say the last part, he thankfully turned around to see another familiar face that said, "You. Box. Your stuff. Parking lot. Car. Goodbye!" I simply looked at him, and said "Good riddance."

I continued to go back to that camp every year, until 2015, when I had reached the maximum age limit for attending as a camper (if you aren't a part of a BSA troop). When 2017 rolled around, I got to go back as a counselor in training, but I could only work for two weeks... I don't want to let this camp go just yet, but I had some plans for making a return, and to see if there's at least one other counselor there who remembers me, or vice versa. Mark my words when I say this. I will make it a mission to make a self-documentary about this camp, and I will share the remarkable journey I had with Hannah, should I encounter her again. Either by accident, or intentional.

It's 2020 now, and I'm 18 years old. I write fanfiction now, which is in the form of a roleplay on Discord, and then I convert it to a fanfic format. I've definitely met a lot of people along my way who changed my life for the better... There has been a total of three times where I've felt suicidal, and all three times, my friends were there to convince me to stay on this planet for a bit longer. And I really would like to thank them for it... You know who you are. If I ever get a chance to start travelling around the world, I want to make another mission to meet some of these people, and see what that would be like. Almost like the ending to Ready Player One, but it's surrounds bronies, instead of a really well hidden Easter egg.

So, that's my life. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and there's a chance I might be able to answer it! Take care!
