"Until You Met Her" Reduxe.

About 10 years ago I made an account here under the name "John Bon Pony". I wrote a story with no intention of having it blow up, just for the hell of the thing. The internet had other ideas. The story exploded and for a while I was one of the top rated authors on the site. But with the popularity also came anxiety. I suddenly felt every chapter had to be better than the last, which led me to rush more than a few just to get something out. And nothing I wrote afterwards ever measured up. I felt depressed and eclipsed by my own work. So, one day, I deleted everything and signed off for good.

Now, with the pandemic and everything, I've found myself reminiscing about how much fun writing once was. And because I'm quarantine like everyone else, I figure why not get back into it. So, here we are.

I no longer have the original documents, but have found a site that archived the original story. I'm going to start uploading it again, with minor edits to things like spelling and grammar, but nothing major.

But, as a test if my abilities and to get back into the swing of things because I plan on writing more than just ponies, I'll also starting uploading heavily revived chapters. These will have the same chapter name as the original, but be prefaced with "REDUXE" so you don't get confused.

And because I know people will ask, here are a few anticipated answers to any questions one might have.

"Where have you been?": Around.
"Are you still into ponies?": No, i stopped watching shortly after dropping out of college.
"What are you doing now.": Living in a Condo in Colorado.
"Will you do more Pony fics?": Probably not. Like I said I don't keep up with the show any more, especially since it ended, and I don't really plan to. "How often will you update?" I'll post an old chapter, and then after that i'll post the revised chapter. I'm aiming for one chapter every two weeks, but don't quote me on that because I have other projects i'm working on. Safest bet is "It'll come out when it comes out."
"What do you get when you cross a Elephant and a Rhino?: Elephino.

I'll make a FAQ with this stuff so you don't have to return to this blog post every time you want to check. Also, I make no promises this project will reach fruition. At the very least I will re-post the entirety of the old story, but don't come at me if I stop updating the REDUXE chapters.
