What The Actual Fuck People.

Alright, probably some necromancy here but I'm more than a few months out of date and appear to have missed the site all but imploding on itself because I was dealing with Life trying kick my ass, something it's still doing but at least I've got part of the problem fixed.

What. The. Fuck. Happened? I'm actually familiar with Aryanne from a single, or was it two, story about a German officer who died during WWII only to find himself now in Equestria. Yes he was a Nazi, yes he had done bad shit, and YES he had serious regrets over all of it. As I recall Aryanne was a military officer of a small, yet growing, nation that basically mirrored what happened to Germany between WWI to just before WWII broke out. Our human lead, a former Nazi, could easily see the comparison and it horrified him. Yet despite this he still worked briefly along Aryanne at the request of Sunbutt, where he tried to dissuade the pony, and later told Sunbutt "This is going to end badly" in no uncertain terms.

Now all of that is just from memory because I can't find said story in my library right now and can't recall either title or author at this time. However as I recall she is NOT a glowing endorsement of Nazi Germany nor any of the ideals of that group. In fact she comes off as a batshit fucking insane psychopath who's ideology and beliefs lack any real logic to them at all.

Now we appear to have several new stories where Aryanne is, still a batshit insane psychopath but also possibly an insatiable rapist as well. Ok, clearly we have parody in action. Yet still NOT an endorsement of Aryanne or her ideology and beliefs because she's clearly no less insane and/or evil. At best she's played for laughs and not to be taken seriously.

Aryanne is a crazy psycho pony. No shit. The atrocities committed by some of my actual ancestors were FUCKING ATROCITIES. No shit. Bigotry is wrong no matter what. No shit. Clearly everyone seems to agree with this, at least from what I've seen. So why, in the name of the Goddess Luna, IS ANYONE FUCKING ARGUING OVER ANY OF THIS?! I've yet to anything that does not either 1) point out that Aryanne is isane/evil, 2) mock her by transforming her into an even more twisted parody of herself, or 3) Both.

Now, freedom of speech is important. You have the right to say what you feel you need to say. And from what I've seen, nobody is saying that Aryanne and all that she represents isn't evil/insane. So will someone explain to me why we have, normally, rational adults screaming at the tops of their lungs about whatever the fuck this is about, when BOTH groups of, IMO, DUMBASSES are all but comically missing the fucking points.

1) Nazis were bad yo and so is bigotry. Yes absolutely. Now stop accusing people of being Nazis/Bigots just because they express that via parody or other methods that differ from just going 'Ban all Nazis/Bigots'. First people have a right to have different opinions than your own, and second if you stop screaming at them you'd see that their opinion is NOT all that different they just express it differently.

2) Censorship simply to appease the sensibilities of others is bad mkay. Yes absolutely. But there does come a point where you're no longer defending your right to speak/write/draw and just being an asshole to piss people off. That crosses the line. You can denounce something without being a douchebag about it and goading people deliberately for kicks is being a douchebag. Yes I feel that some people need to grow some thicker skin. I've also got blonde hair, blue eyes, and a German accent so yeah I KNOW how badly it sucks to have people screaming at you for being a Nazi for bullshit reasons. I KNOW the desire to want to lash out because some ignorant jackass opened their mouth before they engaged their brain. But I'm an adult, so I try and reign in that desire.
