Our Little Secret Isn't So Secret Anymore

Hey guys! I have good news!... And bad news. I personally like dishing out the bad news first that way the good news can lift you up after hearing the bad news.

So the bad news is, unfortunately, I'm canceling the sequel to "A Cheerful Day", originally titled "Our Little Secret". I have tried writing the story multiple times and all of them didn't float well with my pre-readers and myself. I just really don't have any good ideas for a sequel. I know this is going to disappoint a lot of fans who really wanted to see "Our Little Secret" written, but I just can't work with it. Now this doesn't mean I'll never revisit the story again. Who knows? Maybe I just need to grow some more as a writer before tackling that story. So like I always like to say: "Never say never." There is a possibility of me writing the story, I just don't think it will be coming any time within the near future. I'm sorry to any fans that were waiting on the sequel. I'd rather just scrap what I had than give you guys a half-assed sorry excuse of a story. I want to give you guys stories that you can fully enjoy and appreciate! So, long story short, "Our Little Secret" is basically on an indefinite hiatus. I might work on it again, I might not.

Now for the good news!

Just because I'm no longer working on "Our Little Secret", doesn't mean that I've given up on writing stories. Not at all! In fact, due to recent events, I've become a lot more optimistic about my writings and looking at them with a bit more worth than before. I currently am working on another one-shot, which seems to be more of my specialty. It will once again feature the most swagtastic dragon in existence, this time swooning another mare who shall remain undisclosed for now.

So while I may not be expanding on the story of Cheerilee and Spike, I do have plans for our awesome dragon! I hope you guys look forward to the new story once I get it all done! I shouldn't take a super long time to finish writing it since I I actually finished "A Bar in the Middle of A War" the night after I had made the last blog post, to my surprise. I just came up with the idea for the story tonight though so I imagine it will take about a week, maybe two to get the story all fleshed out and ready for FIMfiction.

And now I give you the name of the new story: The Purest Hearts

On a side note: For those that actually follow my first story, "Grey Sky Goes to Ponyville", I haven't forgotten about it.I just need the right inspiration for it.
