Happy Thanksgiving, Everypony! · 8:35am Nov 20th, 2012
That's right, that holiday where we kill a large flightless bird that was almost the United States' national bird, cook, and eat it is just around the corner. In about four days, actually. So, give thanks for all that you are probably take for granted: life, food, family, friends. Please don't feel offended by this, I, myself, fall victim to subconscious ungratefulness. It's not that we aren't grateful for the little things in life, it's that we see them so menial that we often overlook them. This being said, I challenge all five of you to make a list of ten items that you are grateful for, just so it can be done. Mine is as follows:
1) A decent financial situation, though I often say I don't have enough
2) A family, though divided as it is
3) Food in my belly
4) The opportunity to learn greater things
5) The ability to write and read
6) The capability to be able to produce something remotely similar to music on my violin
7) The enforced right for me to be able to voice my thoughts
8) Friends, even those who've come and gone
9) The Internet, so generic, right? But without it, I wouldn't be able to meet so many interesting people and share my ideas as easily, or at all, with the world.
10) Life, without it, I'd be dead.
On a semi-unrelated note, I want to let you all know that, due to the holiday and classes being stacked, the next released chapter of Something New may be late, again. Sorry for making those of you who follow it wait even longer. Also relevant to its development, I've had the Brony Bunch x32 Texture Pack as a project on my lap for some time now and I have yet to update it, so I will be also trying to work on it. The holiday would not be an issue, however I am going to be at a place with relatively no internet connection for most of the time.
With all of that being said, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
Remember to say...
