    Unfortunate news...

Hey y'all! It's been a while since I logged in here. Life has thrown me and my family a curveball for the first 4 months of 2024. As the title suggests, I regret to inform my friends and followers here that my mom passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 65 due to stage 4 non-smoker lung cancer. I'm going to tell you what happened to her in another blog.

    Panini is a creep

Panini having the audacity to tell Chowder he's the clingy one is a form of gaslighting. She's the one who's clingy and obsessed with him and constantly stalks and harasses him. She doesn't get Chowder's "I'm not your boyfriend" message into her thick skull.

A particular instance of a white actor voicing an Asian character

I can imagine the outrage on the Internet if Jeff Bennett providing the voice of Raj in Camp Lazlo exists in today's time.

People would call him a racist for using an Indian accent for the character yet he's not of Indian descent.

    Update on my Discord situation

I got my old account back, but I don't want to use it anymore because it was compromised by the hacker. I also removed all my friends from the list to protect them.

I created a new account. The username is anthrofanthe2nd. The display name is Anthro F. II. My profile pic is blue northern lights.

I don't want to use Discord anymore

The whole debacle that occurred last night left me absolutely traumatized. I ended up crying and sulking because that motherfucker put me through shit and the other motherfucker threatened to call the police on me for something I didn't do. This was the first time I've ever experienced this on the site. The hacker who has stolen my account is going after my friends to victimize and/or scam them

Farewell, Steven Universe · 1:41am Mar 28th, 2020

Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse, a big thank you very much for your wonderful creation that is Steven Universe. Your show has made a big and wonderful impact and has inspired a lot of people to be comfortable in their own skin and to love themselves no matter what others say.

This cartoon is considered a game-changer for:
1) It is Cartoon Network's first animated series to be created solely by a woman
2) It defied stereotypical gender norms
3) It showcased acceptance, inclusivity, and diversity
4) It has a fast-paced yet compelling and well-thought-out storyline
5) It has impressive character development
6) It tackled mature issues in a delicate manner (PTSD, puberty, same-sex relationships, consent, toxic/abusive relationships, harassment, and grief)
7) It foreshadowed a lot of things that are essential to the story

I find it absolutely heartwarming that the characters are illustrated with realistic body types to let the viewers know that we all come in many different shapes and sizes. If it weren't for SU, I wouldn't come out as a non-binary and asexual person today. For that, we will be forever grateful.

Thank you also to Aivi & Surasshu for composing and producing beautiful and eclectic music that adds enormous dynamic to the show, especially with the utilization of leitmotifs that represent each of the Gems and other characters.

Special thank you to the following people who provided the voice of characters that debuted in Future:
Michelle Maryk as Larimar
Larissa Gallagher as Bluebird Azurite
Indya Moore as Shep
Johnny Hawkes as Cookie Cat and Rodrigo
Marieve Herington as Jasmine
Tahani Anderson as Patricia
Jemaine Clement as Kerry Moonbeam

It all started with a boy who thinks he can summon his powers by eating ice cream. Then it shifted to a serious tone upon finding out that his mom is a Diamond, eventually changing the minds of the other Diamonds, transforming Homeworld into a democracy, saving the Earth from destruction caused by one of his mom's lost treasures, struggling with his inner demons from childhood trauma, and finally leaving Beach City to do some soul-searching. Steven Universe took a lot of unexpected twists and turns that left viewers with a rollercoaster of emotions.

We will miss you very much, Steven. Good luck with your future and wherever life takes you, we hope that you could find your well-deserved happiness. :pinkiesad2::heart:

It was indeed a good show. We will miss it

Curious, how do you feel on the ending?

It was bittersweet and a tug in my heartstrings. The credits was foreshadowing it all along. I'm sad that it came to a close, but at the same time I'm happy that Steven is off to a new chapter of his life.

On a side note, I'm glad that I won't have to deal with unnecessarily long hiatuses anymore.

The 19th episode got me teary-eyed, it reminded me of the climax of Pixar's Inside Out. Knowing that the Gems, the Diamonds, Greg, the Cluster, and Connie are there for him really speaks volumes of how this show is all about love and acceptance.

Steven deserved to leave all of this behind him and have as normal of a life as he could. I am a bit sad we did not get to see his grandparents, I kinda wanted to see how that would play out. Andy did not know he had a nephew, I would think they would want to see they had a grandchild. They kept everything their son had, they loved Greg, and I don't exactly know how Steven made up with his father, it seemed he resented him and this was something that actually spoke to me. My own father said that his parents while he respected his father, was controlling. I do not know how much my grandfather was controlling, but I take his word less for it. He worked and studies under his father, and he held my dad under high standards; one has to when it comes to medicine. My father thought he would be the opposite of grandfather, he would be very liberal, easy going with me. In some ways I liked this, but in others I did not. He let me have so much freedom, it seemed as though he was barely involved, sometimes I did want him to tell me NO to see that he cared.

That actually was a powerful scene, to me, it also showed a danger of trying to save everyone when you yourself were the one who needed saving. Wanting to be altruistic is good for the most part, but one should make sure they are alright before trying to go help everyone, it nearly cost Steven everything.

Also, back in the episode where Steven and Jasper clashed. Did you notice he killed twice?

5230292
No, I didn't. I thought he shattered Jasper once.

5230293
Only one person/gem. But Steven did kill a fish. While this is easily overlooked, it was just a fish, one has to remember, this is Steven we're talking about. Steven, who could not bring himself to kill a beetle back when he was with Onion. Who was angered when Jasper stepped on a bug back in episode 1. Who became a vegetarian because he cared about life (which I will add was weird because he creates sentient plant life, I would have thought he would see hurting plants as hitting more close to home, Pumpkin was traumatized by him, then again, he ate baby melon Steven's corpse minutes after his death) but here we saw him catch the fish, and cook it later. During this time, he was embracing a much more callous side of himself. Food was food, he became much more primal, and he was moving away from what Lapis had said, about strength being restraint, instead more like how Jasper was, no friends, all he had in those days was power.

5230311
Oh yeah, the fish. He basically compromised his own principles when he was with Jasper.

I mean, killing a fish and eating it is one of the only ways to survive in the woods.

5230324
Indeed it is, but Steven never had to be there. He could have turned back at any time, he embraced that because nothing he usually did was helping him, so why not try the complete opposite, embrace what he has turned away his whole life. A bit ironic, in episode 1 he wanted a bit of a connection and understanding with Jasper, he wanted them to see eye to eye and figured the way to go at it was to make her change her world view and realize they was life beyond serving the diamonds. In the end, they saw eye to eye, but it was not Jasper who had changed, it was him. He stepped down to her level and showed her the one thing she understood, authority, and by the end of it, Steven became the Pink Diamond jasper had always wanted in her life
