    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

When playing the Sims 4, I often get the following question asked a lot! · 8:50pm Feb 1st, 2020

What's your favorite world to play in?

To answer it bluntly, Newcrest. Why? Because it's basically a blank canvas. I could literally build a whole community of varying sizes and shapes within the lots' spacings. When it comes to TS4, I am admittedly more on the builder side of things. So what ELSE would be the best world than Newcrest! I have built vast libraries. Elaborate mansions. Complex Game & Sports centers. Fancy restaurants and some of the most beautiful houses I could think of! Sure I spend an embarrassing amount of time in CAS, but only so I can build my families the kinds of homes that I never had growing up! Art imitating Life in a way. Plus, I like to play with BIG families. More space is a necessity. In short. TS4 may have many beautiful worlds, yet none are more practical/architect's dream than Newcrest.
Bonus!: Some facts about Newcrest.

  • This is the only world in The Sims seriesthat was added via a patch.
  • This is the only world in The Sims 4 that doesn't contain any pre-built lots, and is the first empty pre-made world since The Sims: House Party.

I wonder if anyone has done/will do, a mod for Sims that turns the humans to Ponies, or makes it an option

I have never played Sims, but I want to try it at some point

I mean.....possible?

I highly recommend it!

I spent a little over a week building the entirety of the Mane 6 (plus Big Mac, Spike, Vinyl, Octavia, Sunset, and Starlight) as well as houses for each of them. I also made the "Elements of Harmony" group, with each of the Mane 6 in it.

Twilight has a small home in Glimmerbrook with it's own library. Starlight is there too, in this interesting cottage I put together. Also, because I felt like it, I went for pre-reformation Starlight, and had her make the "Equality Movement" Group.

Pinkie owns a restaurant in Newcrest, at least until I can get Get to Work (I think it is) that opens up Baking as a skill, at which point, it'll be turned into a bakery. She has a house attached to it, as well as a clubhouse for

AJ owns a farm in Oasis Springs with Big Mac, close to the oasis so she's got proper grass to grow on. That was an interesting one; farm houses are harder to make than you'd think.

RD has a home in Willow Creek, but will be hopping over to Sulani once I get Island Living. It's a very physically-themed home, with it's own basketball half-court, climbing wall, and indoor pool.

Rarity has started in Windenburg, until I can get "Get Famous" at which point, she'll be moving over to Del Sol Valley. Her house is still in the works; I haven't settled on a style or design, and decided to wait until I got the DLC before settling on either. I don't want to make something, then have it be hilariously out of style.

Fluttershy lives in Brindleton Bay in an off-the-grid cottage. It's actually a very rewarding style to play. Of course, she's got tons of cats and dogs, and will be buying a vet clinic once she's got the money. She was the last built, meaning she hasn't had the time to get her cash flow yet.

Vinyl and Octavia live in Oasis Springs strictly because it was where I ended up building my nightclub well before making them. Once I get Get to Work, I plan on doing a few system exploits to own the place and let it act as a retail store, but function as a nightclub.

Sunset is in Windenburg, being a bit of a party animal and making friends. Her home is nothing special; I didn't make it from the ground up, like I did the others, but just gave her one in Winderburg's usual style and improved on it from there.

5196655
Most excellent! You have truly been busy. You simply MUST show some of your designs! I insist! I'll even share a few designs I've done.

5196688
Well, RD's and Rarity's aren't super complete. And I'll be honest, I used the base restaurant from the Dining Out DLC to make Pinkie's, though I plan on doing an overhaul once I get Get to Work. Damn you EA and your money-grubbing hands. So many DLCs and all so expensive... And here I am, with no job...

I am super proud of AJ's house though. And the nightclub I made is no joke. It'll be sweet once Octavia is manning the bars and Vinyl is on the DJ table.

Flutter's house is super modest, as is fitting her personality. It's just a log cabin with, like, five rooms total. She's got a drying rack/scrubbing bin for clothes, a basement where I keep items that she needs (punching bag, cauldron, ect.) that doesn't fit the aesthetic of the house. Oh, and she's got a Wishing Well!

As for Twilight's, I still think it needs more work. But I dislike playing as her; Spike's constant need to do homework drives me up the wall. I should've just made him a Young Adult, but it didn't make sense, canonically, so I made him a Teen. Regret.

However, my nifty little trick for getting all the money ever is still working.

5196695
Haha! I hear that! I only recently got Cats and Dogs and I've completely overhauled the Mansion (it too is still a WIP). I've added a bowling alley that I built in a different save and a spa (I also recently got Spa Day).

5196700
Ah, I've had Cats and Dogs from the start; I bought the Bundle. Couldn't pass up the chance to have a fluffyboi and a puppers.

5196705
It took me a while to get it! Yet now I have various saves with fluffbois and various puppers

5196707
Oh, and what DLCs are worth getting? Right now, I've got Realm of Magic, Fitness Stuff, Get Together, Laundry Day Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Dine Out, City Living, Vintage Glamour Stuff, and Vampires.

I want to get Luxury Party Stuff, because it has things that'll go for Rarity and Octavia, but I'm also interested in things like Island Adventure and Seasons.

5196709
Well that's a tough one bc I currently have: Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Spa Day, Laundry Day Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Bowling Night Stuff and Kid's Room Stuff. (Btw, I play on PS4)

5196792
So do I. I'd actually give Realm of Magic a hard thumbs-up, as well as Vampires. The inclusion of occult races is really fun and makes things way more interesting. Also magic is awesome.

5197203
Ok I agree with Realm of Magic (I've seen a dozen LPs on that specific pack alone). Island Living is a hard yes for me. However I simply can't get over the whole "vampires breaking into your house and using you as a basic drug fix" thing.

5197205
Oh, they can't. You need to invite them in. So if you know a Vampire is, well, a Vampire... then just don't invite them in when they come to the door.

So, I just got Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires... and made the Mane 6, Starlight, Sunburst, Sunset, and Big Mac. And other suggestions? Also, I may have a serious problem. :rainbowlaugh:

Edit: Gods, I even edited so their units have the Equestrian Banner on their backs and they carry giant Equestria flags. No mods, no joke; it's a feature of the game to be able to upload images into it (and it's a PS4 game!) and use them as banners.

5197223
I'm aware. It's just my idiot sims keep inviting them in when I purposely tell them not too. Or they'll go to a heavily vampire populated area against my knowledge (I tend to forget to disable free will)

5197515
Ah, yeah that can be a problem. I tend to keep my Sims super busy most of the time, so they rarely use that free will of theirs.

5197607
Smart also, did you get the Birthday update?

5197731
Errr...technically yesterday, yet it really wasn't anything special. Literally it was the (updated graphics version of) *the* Hot tub. As in the very first hot tub from the FIRST game.

5197759
Huh. No, I didn't notice that. Hm. Well, it'll be neat to have a hot-tub without the DLC, at least.

5197765
Yes. Once your game is updated, go into any save file you have. Go to build/buy more. It'll be under category--plumbing--baths. It should be 3,000 simolions.

5197950
Huh. Well, that's neat. :rainbowkiss:

I just got Seasons, Spooky Stuff, and the Jungle Adventure Pack.

5199162
Just yesterday, I remembered that I still had a little money left over and bought Vintage Glamour Stuff.

5199181
I liked that one! It came with the Vanity, right?

Why is Baby Yoda an item oh God make it stop.

5199370
Yeah and my sim is OBSESSED with it! Also, don't fight it. Let the wave that is baby Yoda wash over you. You don't have to give in, just let it wash over you.....I have the statue in my Sim's media room on a table.

5196128
I will try to get it soon. how expensive is it?

5199856
Depends on your system. At the moment it's free on Origin for PC/Mac. Also free on PlayStation Store and Xbox One (Microsoft store) at the moment because this month's the 20th anniversary of the original game.

5200224
....Why did I know you were gonna do this?!?

5200314
So, now I've got Rainbow going on Daring-Do style jungle expeditions.

5200403
It is, in fact, a yay!

The DLC is... interesting. You need to actually go on vacation, meaning you need to pay a regular stack of cash for every day you spend there. There are lots of things that can kill your Sim, so be careful. And high skills are basically a requirement.

5200484
I'm aware of how it goes (I've seen LPs of that particular pack being played). It's kinda a tourist trap (literally) in a lot of aspects.

5200490
Lol. Its fun, actually. And I'm going in completely blind.

Got hit with poison darts in the first 30 minutes.

5200491
Well if that don make ya go "damnit!"?!

5200496
Lol. Especially when I learned that I needed bone dust to make the antidote; if I didn't have it, I have to buy it offline, and I have no computer on vacation, so that's screwed.

5201924
Then it should (hopefully) still be free on either platform.

5201117
Yeeeaaaahhh... I took a bit of a break after that incident.

5202937
Yeah I don't blame you on that!

5203084
Luckily, I'm busy taking over feudal China with the MLP cast.

After beating up Soul Calibur characters with the MLP cast...

And... playing GTA Online with Vinyl... And...

Seriously, I think I have a problem.

5203444
The ponies haunt my video games.

I still don't know who to put into Dynasty Warriors next. So far, I've made leaps and bounds on creating a whole kingdom of humanized ponies in feudal China. But there are over 50 character slots in the "Equestrian" category there, and I feel like it must be filled at least somewhat.

5203795
Well, on the plus side, it doesn't take 10+ hours to pick out multiple outfits for them, build their house, and find a facial design that is closest to them. With Dynasty Warriors, I just kinda... make 'em.

5204086
Fair enough (so....I kinda....made Courage, Muriel and Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog in TS4. Idek y I did it!)

5204182
... You are a champion, my dear friend.
