MLP & Star Wars Crossover

I was wondering if I could get advice on a topic I don't know why I find intriguing but can't help but consider where it can go if executed properly:

What if Spike the Dragon was the Sith Lord, Darth Plaugeis the Wise, but reborn. And he was starting to get flashbacks of his old life and began to tap into the Force.

Sounds crazy, but I was wondering if I could get some thoughts on it. If I can finally get my sorry behind to writing the fic, it could become my first story on fimfiction. As such, any suggestions or advice would be welcomed in writing it.

Honestly, it sounds very intriguing. I like the idea of this small, young dragon having an inner darkness inside of him. There's so much potential for a story like this and I look forward to seeing what you bring to the table. Darth Plaugeis is an underutilized and interesting villain that got shafted in the new trilogy (seriously, he should've been the main antagonist in 7-9).

Thanks, I’m intending for it to deal with Spike/Plaugeis essentially viewing the events of the series through the eyes of a both Sith and having to experience and embrace an entirely new personality and a new body. How this will affect the Spike in my story in contrast to canon Spike, that has yet to be seen (or written, in this case).

Also, agreed on Plaugeis should have been main sequel villain.

Indeed, the sequel trilogy could have benefited from a consistent over arching antagonist of legitimate threat: A) kept Snoke and actually made him threatening B) reveal Snoke as Darth Plaugeis and go deep into that C) implied Darth Sidious over the whole course of the trilogy D) make Kylo Ren an actual threatening villain.

Also, any suggestions of episodes you would think would have been interesting with an inner dialogue Spike/Darth Plaugeis perspective.

A few years ago, I actually wrote a treatment for how I would've done the sequel trilogy and Snoke turning out to be Plagueis was one of the things that I included. Also I gave his scars over to Kylo Ren, just to show how devastating joining the Dark Side was for him both physically and emotionally.

Early on, Spike could get a POV flash of growing up on Mygeeto, of living in a sparsely-populated domed city in a perpetually snowy landscape and under the strict supervision of his mother

Indeed, if it will be a major conflict of Spike/Plauegis will having a major contention on changing their original, darker personality is the loving family members while also still remembering their previous family life. That alone is a plot pusher for some chapters with how their old mother treated them and how Twilight Velvet and Celestia treat him far differently.

It could get to the point where Spike starts going into trances as he experiences the memories and could even act them out, referring to the others by names of people Plagueis knew

Indeed, my endgame is to have their personality be something of a mix of the two. Spike’s generous, caring, and friendly personality, added with Plaugeis’ cold, calculating, and even merciless one.

It could even affect the new relationships (friends and family) he has forged when a life he lived in the past is effecting his new one. Ultimately putting strain on how he appears to be as cold as Sombra or Chrysalis at times but act as his “normal” sweet and kinds others. Added, with a power that they barely even understand that Spike appears to be able to use flawlessly and ruthlessly.

First, start with an overall draft. You don't have to have all of the details mapped out, just the general concept. Sometimes it helps to just write on the fly as ideas will start coming in left and right.
