What to do...? · 1:39am Nov 13th, 2019
Forget writer's block, I seem to have encountered a writer's wall (I'm sure that's not an actual thing, but it seems appropriate.). I can't figure out how to get around it.
Whenever I'm not working, I'm at home, with plenty of spare time. Yet instead of writing, I find myself watching movies/TV/YouTube, and a lot of times it's stuff I've seen many times already. For whatever reason, I cannot seem to find the drive to type. And not just for A Second Chance, I have other story ideas that rattling around in my head, waiting to be shared, but, again, the actual motivation to write them eludes me.
I don't want to quit, nor do I want to leave my stories unfinished, especially when ASC continues to get faved even now.
What can I do?
Jot down notes and write outlines of your story ideas. That'll get the ideas out of your head and onto the (digital) page, where they might kickstart your drive to write, or lead to more ideas (which could do the same).
Instead of focusing exclusively on the story, open a separate word processor document page and just start writing what comes in your head. I have so many stories this way (not ‘publishing’ or posting any of them, they are for me and me alone), and maybe something will stick out to you.
