My thoughts on this entire narrative on "Friendship is Magic" · 1:01am Oct 3rd, 2019
I was interested in the entire series of FIM and EG, the whole saying on friendship, and the belief in your friends no matter how difficult is. Until the Anon-a-Miss storyline and I didn't care about the other storylines in FIM books. The moment when the human versions of Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash left Sunset in the middle of the school hallway made me think on the whole Friendship is Magic.
The characters in this franchise don't believe in friendship, in the events of fall formal they view her as a she-demon, and can't forget the past. Hell in the Canterlot Wedding, Twilight tried to warn everyone about Cadance's imposter, but no one believes her, thinking she's overprotective and mean, so they left her.
The belief in each other has died and that's how I see it.
What are your thoughts?
I might consider the argument if the episodes you presented didn't happen so early in the characters' relationships.
Do you have any examples of later in the series?
It made me question the belief about friendship too. But of course, it just shows that the EQG mane 7 and Mane 6 are just like us. They have struggles which sometimes lead to problems in their friendship, but they always find ways to make amends and start over to better their relationships.
But of course we the fans, believed the recovery process were too quick, so some of decided to show how long that process would take or forming new friendships.
The TV series or the comics just show that the characters are like us, and that they are not perfect as everyone thought they would be. And that imperfection, makes them the perfect friends. Without the struggles, they’re friendships would not be stronger as it is today.
