My opinions on Villian Stereotypes · 11:36pm Sep 27th, 2019
ok, i know this has probably already been done, but i felt like i needed to point this out. Comic book villain stereotypes are so overdone, why not have something new? Like maybe, i don't know, a competent, and understandable villain? (*Comical gasp* My word! He speaks heresy!) You know, one who's actually not blinded by an ego the size of a planet, one who plans ahead, one who actually doesn't monologue, or rant at the hero for five minutes and expose the flaw in their plans, and thus giving the protagonist a way to defeat them whilst they're distracted with their speech.
Closest thing I've ever seen to a competent villain in MLP:FIM is Sombra in Season 3, when he plans for any circumstance regarding the Heart, maybe Flash's Harrison Wells (original one, not the dimension traveler), or Zoom, Arrow's Deathstroke was a pretty decent villain as well, got pretty damn close to killing ol' Ollie.
