So, this is more than likely a problem just with me personally, but it's something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. And with the final episodes of the series leaked and out there to see it's finally hitting me that FiM is... over. And I'm not sure just what that means for us writers and other content creators.

Again, it's likely an issue for authors like me, I tend to be very meticulous (overly so I'm sure) when it comes to details so that every character comes across as "in-character" and events don't tend to conflict with the in-series continuity. I honestly struggle coming up with any ideas for post-Princess Twilight stories since I have to answer the question, "why can't Discord snap the problem away." So with the series concluded and everyone getting their happily ever after I find myself at a loss of just, what to do. Writer's block has been a bane of my existance but now when ideas start coming to me I find myself asking questions. Questions like the previously mentioned Discord one or "Will this mess up what happens in episode X?"

Case in point, I've been mulling over an Equestria Girls/Vampire: the Requiem crossover and find myself stuck with the thought of "If you make X into a vampire, how would that effect the rest of the series? How would she deal with X?" And I find myself at a complete stop in terms of creativity.

I know this seems rambly, because it is, but I just wanted to reach out, get my thoughts somewhere where I can maybe get some advice on how to manage.

I tend to be very meticulous (overly so I'm sure) when it comes to details so that every character comes across as "in-character" and events don't tend to conflict with the in-series continuity.

As someone who is the same, this is both the thrilling challenge and bane of our existence. Though, I think that now that the series is over, we are more free.

We can now write stories about the futures of these characters and their world. We can expand upon lore and invent our own.

As far as events and canon go, don't be afraid to bed it slightly. Ask yourself "what could have been if..."

Yeah, there will be no new material. No new developments of these characters, but that gives us the freedom to expand upon them ourselves.

Sit down and let yourself be creative!
