So I have some things in mind and I need your opinions on this...
It's no surprise that season 9 just ended thanks to the Netherland's early release (Don't worry, I'm not going to bring out any spoilers). But now the show has ended, I feel both happy for the conclusion and the ending of a wonderful series that meant a lot to me for the past 5 years, and a bit empty because of the same reasons. But because of the show's ending, and as an artist, I want to create something to show my love and appreciation for this show and fandom and to remind us that even the show ends, the friendship, the creations and the support we had for one another will never be forgotten. Here are some things I have in mind:
1. A Sequel to the 'Element of Kindness'
I feel iffy about writing about this since I have not yet gotten the events/progression of the story to what I want it to be, but the general idea I have in mind has been bugging me since I finished EoK and seen the S7 Finale. For the story, this is set an 100 years after the events of the EoK, with the past bearers, excluding Princess Twilight, having passed on and made way for the new bearers to the elements of harmony. But when one of them finds a mysterious tree, more mysteries of the past rises up to fight against them. But with the help of Twilight and Discord, they will fight against the darkness while uncovering the past and find their identity; including the bearer of magic, Aurora Borealis, who had a magic defect since birth. I do have the characters and ocs planned out (Aurora is actually the reason why I want to tell this story) and I want to conclude the Elements' story in a way that will be slightly different than the original. Like I said before, I am still trying to figure out how to plan the middle part of the story or I should change a few details (maybe a different villain?) but I am planning to make this happen in the future
2. Element of Kindness Audio Drama
This is what I wanted to do for a long time and yet I'm kind of timid of it at the same time. With the fact that audio dramas like 'Bride of Discord' are the reasons why I became a pegasister (other than Fluttercord), I thought it would be cool to make it happen. I finished writing the script for Ep. 1 (though it needs some twitches) and I had the whole audition process prepared (I even tried premiring it on my YouTube Channel but I deleted it because of cold feet). But I don't want to feel like I'm rushing the whole project to the point I won't be collaborating with the people who joined it seem very distant and clueless of what I am doing (plus I have little experience with audio editing and would ask for someone to do it in the audition process and I would compromise with doing the videoediting and art director) and as someone with anxiety and autism, interacting with new people kind of makes me nervous. But this is something I want to do and I know this is something I could be good at (with my experiences with collaboration in Disney MEPs and artwork for a certain Audio Drama), but I don't know what to do with myself....
There could be more ideas I would do in the future but right now, I want to focus on these two particularly because I know these will be big. Should I take my time to do both or should I do one at the time? Which one would I do first or should I try something different? I need some help on this....
